DoIT recognizes that technology breaks barriers and the innovators of tomorrow are in schools today.  It's with this knowledge that we proudly support and encourage educators and students of all ages to pursue their passion in the STEAM disciplines.  We never know when the next innovation could be scribbled on a napkin or scrap of paper so it's with enthusiasm and encouragement that we love showcasing the creativity of students exploring STEAM.

The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology has hosted the Tech Prairie STEAM annually since 2021. The event provides fairgoers with opportunities to experience engaging and interactive demonstrations in the areas of STEAM. Find the videos and pictures of the event on the STEAM Expo Archive.
